Do you want to kickstart your career in a global organisation and gain valuable experience within the business intelligence domain?

If so, this is your chance to use your theoretical skills in a great team, as you solve a wide range of important tasks that make a real difference to your new colleagues and stakeholders both within and outside the VELUX Group.

Your challenges
At our head office in Hørsholm, you will become part of the Data and Analytics department where we work with the global business intelligence solution. We support both production companies, sales companies and group functions with data and insights, and we collaborate closely with VELUX IT, Deloitte and Accenture. In doing so, we work with predictive modelling and AI, interact with end users globally, follow up with key stakeholders on strategic initiatives and much more.

The department is divided into two teams. One that deals with support-related issues and one that acts as a business partner and focuses on project management as well as general training in our reporting tools. As a student assistant, you will help both teams, and as such, you get to work both independently and as part of project groups. You will primarily be involved in internal follow-ups and GDPR-related assignments, but your tasks will also include:

  • Maintaining and updating training material for our SAP and Microsoft reporting tools
  • Producing training material for our e-learning tool, which is under development
  • Performing system tests in connection with upgrades and final testing of business projects before handover
  • Contributing with your analytical skills and structured mindset to project deliverables
  • Working hours will be approx. 10-15 hours per week, and we are of course flexible and will adjust this according to your schedule.

“With time, you will also have the opportunity to take full responsibility for your very own tasks.
And if you are interested in writing your final thesis with us, just let us know, and we will be happy to join in on your endeavours,” says Morten Møller, Business Partner.

Your qualifications
Working independently on many assignments, you need to have a structured and proactive approach to your tasks. At the same time, you are an eager team player who wants to contribute, learn and develop in a professional environment. It is important you are comfortable in presenting your findings to groups of people. Lastly, you are a quick study, and you:

  • Are in the process of finishing your bachelor’s degree in either business administration and information, global business informatics, data science, information science and cultural communication or similar
  • Understand complex data structures
  • Know how to communicate with non-technical end users
  • Have experience in working with MS Office
  • Excel at Danish and English both in speech and writing

Your opportunities
Trust and empowerment are keywords at the VELUX Group, and as such, you will have every opportunity to work independently and share your ideas for improvements with colleagues and leaders alike. And joining a global work environment with a locally placed base, you can look forward to gaining 11 dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues who look forward to sharing their knowledge and experience with you. Though you are not a full-time employee, you will be a full member of the team, and you get to immerse yourself in every aspect of the work we do. And as you familiarise yourself with the position, more and more responsibility will be given to you, giving you a great platform for your future career.

Our team is characterised by an informal tone and respect for each other, and we achieve our great results through teamwork. We do this both locally and working with our colleagues in the 40 countries where the VELUX Group is represented,” Morten finishes.
