About the department

The position is anchored in the department CMC Business & Digital Solutions, whose key mission is to execute strategic initiatives across CMC in the areas of supply chain, business intelligence, IT Automation and Data Analytics in partnership with line of business. We transform data into business insight and make recommendations in order to optimize our supply chain that delivers drugs for clinical trials for life-changing medicine to thousands of patients across the globe.

You will join an international team consisting of 13 colleagues with different backgrounds. You will be working closely together with our BI Consultants, who have a strong business data understanding, working on converting data into models & predictions as well as structuring data and making it available.

The Position

You will support our journey in advanced analytics by employing your data & modelling skills and analytic mind to deliver on impactful use cases. You will analyse and cleanse large datasets with the goal to bring business impact by converting data into business insights and machine learning models, predictions and visualisations. You will be involved in end-to-end projects, from ideation, development and deployment of models across CMC. You will be working on specific use cases in sprint style as well as various ad-hoc data-related tasks. The position is estimated to 15-20 hours a week.

Start date: May 2020

Full Time Danish work permit is required

Qualifications

You are currently studying a master’s degree in e.g. Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or similar with excellent results and a natural flair for data.

  • Proven passion for generating insights from data
  • Comfort manipulating and analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods particularly in the area of data modelling
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise and actionable way
  • Experience with analytical and visualisation tools such as Qlik, PowerBI, or Tableau
  • Experience with any analysis tool/language such as R, Python or Alteryx and the ability to transfer that knowledge to other tools is preferred
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL

You have a big data mindset and it comes naturally to you to test new techniques, software and ways of working. We expect you will be good at what you do and have an eye for detail. You have a burning desire to learn new things and are curious about the processes and people you work with. You can work both independently and together with others. 
As we are a global company and an international team, fluency in both spoken and written English is required.
