Our team consists of 8 people, working on Arla’s wide range of social, ethical and environmental commitments.  Your focus will be on supporting the implementation of human rights and Arla’s social impacts globally.

About the job
As a student assistant you will gain professional experience and have the opportunity to put theories into practice. You will support Arla’s Sustainability team, you will be working on several projects and get a solid insight in a business-driven approach to CSR and sustainability with a specific focus on human rights. You will get several independent tasks, and you will collaborate with many stakeholders internal as well as external including NGOs. You will report to Senior Sustainability Managers who are managing Arla’s global work on Human Rights. Your tasks will include:

  • Support human rights assessments and reporting globally
  • Support and coordinate follow-up on human rights assessment globally
  • Support strengthening of human rights due diligence
  • Support administration of the INT human rights coordination group
  • Project management of Living Wage Project
  • Assist Data Ethics steering group
  • Organise International Dairy Development knowledge sharing activities
  • Support international funding applications
  • Support communication of human rights/ Sustainability activities – SoMe, web, presentations
  • Ad-hoc tasks

Who are you?
Overall, the right student assistant is studying a relevant degree and is preferably a first-year Master student, who also wants to do their Master thesis in collaboration with Arla. The person has a general IT knowledge, and the ability to learn quickly and understand complex processes. Furthermore, the student has an open mind and:

  • Interest in CSR and sustainability and possibly some academic and/or practical experience with the subject
  • Strong communicative competencies
  • Strong English competencies
  • Systematic approach
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and at the same time a good team player
  • Enjoys collaborating with a vast number of external and internal stakeholders
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, a good mood and a sense of humour

The position is 15 hours a week. Workplace at Arla’s headquarter in Viby. There is an opportunity to combine the job with an internship.
