You will join our Structures department
As our new Structural Lead Engineer, you will be part of an exceptional technical environment with 20 passionate colleagues. The department is highly experienced and delivers engineering and consultancy services on a global scale within the energy sector.

The primary focus areas of the department are the offshore wind and oil and gas sectors. Our services cover a broad range of services within the Structural discipline. We cover all aspects of a project including concept and feasibility studies, detailed engineering, EPC and follow-up engineering.

You will manage your Discipline team and work closely with other disciplines in a collaborative environment to deliver exciting offshore substation projects for our clients.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Lead a team of topside structural engineers and designers on multidisciplinary OSS projects
  • Develop and deliver full detail design packages of topside structural design for our clients
  • Maintain control of the topside structure discipline, hereunder planning, control of cost, time, resources, and technical quality
  • Assume overall responsibility for the development of topside structural layout and structural solutions for our clients and facilitate optimized structural topside designs in terms of structural layout, design, construction, and installation
  • Overall coordination of the topside structural discipline team on projects
  • Provide expert guidance in terms of detailed design of structural solutions and analysis issues according to the project and client's requirement
  • Coordinate the execution of projects with the project manager, other design disciplines and the client
  • Occasionally assist in preparing design calculations, analyses and structural documentation using various structural analysis programs or desktop calculations

Your starting point for constant growth

Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering, preferably in Civil or alternatively Mechanical
Minimum 8-10 years of experience within design of offshore steel structures, preferably from the offshore industry in Europe or other regions with offshore energy production (experience with OSS design is preferred)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in leading engineering teams and projects
Full understanding of what it takes to design, analyse, and document offshore structures according to the prevailing codes in the offshore (wind) industry
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Experience with structural analysis programmes like ROSAP, SACS or similar for beam/truss- and plated/stressed skin structures
Working experience with finite element analysis of offshore topside structures combined with participation in the full design cycle for offshore topside structures is a significant advantage
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and written

You are technically well-founded and able to lead and motivate your project team across multiple geographical borders. Your design solutions demonstrate your understanding of how every detail fit into the bigger picture and you take ownership for the engineering design. You are a confident and transparent communicator and when challenges and complex tasks arise, you use your analytical skills and ability to see find solutions. You have an excellent ability to read and understand our client’s requirements and deliver consultancy and engineering at the required level for each project phase from early feasibility studies to detail design. You are sociable and collaborative and enjoy building and maintaining close working relationships.
