How to contribute to our vision
For our Blade Structural Design Department we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced structural engineer. The Blade Structural Design Department works on cutting edge technology in an international environment. The job will expose the engineer to a wide range of tasks allowing personal and technical growth and achieving a deep understanding of wind turbine blades. The Blade Structural Design Department is responsible for the design of new offshore blades, tools development, certification, validation, industrialization and handling warranty cases.

  • Ownership and maintenance of large offshore blades in production and service
  • Drive blade development and maturation during early blade production stages.
  • Develop and implement cost out and quality improvement measures to offshore blades in serial production to improve product competitiveness.
  • Design and validation of defect allowable thresholds and criteria in large offshore blades
  • Wind turbine blade inspections and defect characterization
  • Offshore business support through sales, service and operations cross functional collaboration
  • Development of inspection, retrofit and repair methods for wind turbine blades in service
  • Proactively maintain interfaces with Supply Chain, Laboratories, Blade test center and Service

What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.

You have a Masters or PhD degree in mechanical, aeronautical engineering or physics. It is preferred that you have approximate 4 years of work experience in wind energy industry. You have very good understanding of the field of composites and of the field of fracture mechanics. You have experience with FEM software. English skills both orally and in writing are a must in the international team, and it is of highest importance that you can communicate your results in a clear and convincing manner. Danish skills are seen as a plus. Furthermore, you have a structured approach to your work, can handle multiple assignments simultaneously without losing overview and you are driving your work independently.
