Do you thrive at working in a small dynamic team developing packages for ROS environment using cutting-edge technology?

Due to an emerging demand, as well as stricter requirements from industry standards, Ground Support Equipment (GSE) manufacturer Power Stow is developing systems that protect aircraft from GSE collisions.

Power Stow supplies best in class equipment and support to airports through profound knowledge of our customers’ business and we deliver great efficiency and better work environments to the airport industry, handling both baggage and cargo on aircraft.

Key responsibilities:
As a software engineer you will play an important role in the R&D department contributing to the implementation of the Assisted Docking System project – in collaboration with a team of dedicated software, electrical and mechanical engineers, managed by the CEO and owner of the company. A great part of your time will be dedicated to developing and programming. The results of your development will be seen instantly through testing in the R&D lab. till the system is ready to be put into production. You will be able to influence the use of tools and programmes based on your expert knowledge within this area.

Required skills & experience:

  • Master or PhD degree in robotics, Computer Science or similar
  • 2+ years of experience within autonomous or robotics software
  • Experience with open-source robotics/vision libraries (PCL/OpenCV)
  • Knowledge of Robot Operating Systems (ROS) and robotics sensors (LiDAR, 3D cameras etc.)
  • Comfortable using Linux based embedded-systems
  • Strong C++ skills (+2 years)
  • Experienced using git

It would be advantageous if you have the following competencies:

  • Integration understanding from robotics software to hardware
  • Proven track record in designing and testing robotics systems
  • Excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with communication protocols (CAN, TCP/IP)
