Software developers (Python, Git, Docker)

We make digital decision support tools and services for commercial ocean crossing ships and the people operating them. Our customers are either ship operators, ship owners or partners providing other digital products. Our digital decision support services help our customers execute safe and cost-efficient voyages while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

As part of our development team, you will be working on maintaining and expanding our product portfolio. We are continuously developing additional services for our portfolio based on our customers’ needs.

The Role
Join our Copenhagen based development team. Our development team is building and maintaining the services. The services are provided both through our web portal and our API. The team is small, flexible and works towards small and frequent releases to best be able to satisfy our customer’s needs. You will be working with design, development, and maintenance of our services from proof-of-concept to released product and beyond.

Our developers are encouraged to pitch and take ownership of ideas for improvements, new products, and services.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a person that:

• Has professional experience and enjoy developing software using Python and Git for version control.
• Are used to working with test-driven development.
• Enjoy breaking challenges down to workable bits.
• Can work independently as well as on a team.

Experiences we will evaluate positively, but are not a requirement:

• Background in mathematics and well versed in optimizations.
• Background in computer science and/or software development.
• Background in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience working with cloud computing (We are using Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud).
• Experience working with weather data.
• Experience working with GIS.

Our technology stack is constantly evolving, but our core includes Python, Angular, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud (Azure/Google). But we are not locked into a specific technology, so please help us pick the right technologies for the right tasks.

• 4-day work week. We need you to get great ideas and we believe the best way to ensure this is to give you more free time. If you wish to work less, we are open to accommodate part time positions.
