You will become part of a dynamic and dedicated team of highly skilled software engineers, software testers, software architects and project managers developing market leading software for our wind turbines. We are following agile development principles and you will be part of a SCRUM team organized in a SAFe set-up.

How to contribute to our vision  
As a software developer in our turbine control SW team in the Offshore business unit, you will be developing the embedded software that controls the wind turbines and the green hydrogen solution. Every day you will be in close interplay with team members and internal stakeholders coming from all over the world. The job responsibilities as a SW developer evolve around the full software development process from specifying and implementing to testing. This includes but is not limited to:  

  • Clarification of requirements in close collaboration with stakeholders from other departments. 
  • Developing control software in C++ for a Linux like operating system. 
  • Testing the software, including unit-, integration- and acceptance testing. Good CI/CD strategy & tooling in place. 
  • Maintaining the SW by defect fixing and refactoring of existing source code to ensure the solutions work well in the fleet. 
  • Occasionally participate in innovation initiatives like code camps and ideation events. 

We are following agile development principles and you will be part of a SCRUM team in a SAFe environment. There is a good mix of independent and team tasks. We work in a mix between being in the office and working from home, taking into account individual needs and the optimal set-up. 

What you need to make a difference  
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.  We are looking for you, who wants to make real what matters and who wants to change the world to renewable energy.  

The ideal candidate holds an academic degree in IT, Software, Electronics, Computer Science or similar in combination with solid practical experience with: 

  • Software development experience in C/C++ 
  • OO-design patterns and experience with software testing & continuous integration. 
  • Embedded control mechanisms
  • Middleware development for x86 and ARM architectures 
  • Linux (or similar) system hardening and best practices to ensure cyber-security 

If you know about ProfiNet or other realtime protocols we would also like to hear from you.

We are also looking for profiles that will be working more with our SW framework on top of the Linux like OS, here you need to be skilled in OS close SW, performance optimized C++ code & high SW quality. 

It will be an advantage if you know concepts such as Agile, SCRUM, SAFe, Kanban as well as having experience with versioning systems like GIT and task handling systems like Jira.
