Software Developer in .Net C#

We are looking for an ambitious software developer in .Net C# who wants to work with modern web technologies and exciting payment solutions for one of the leading media companies in the Nordics

Egmont Publishing is looking for a system developer with good knowledge of C# /.Net, to our development department for subscription services. You already consider yourself a strong software developer and now want to strengthen your profile with strong business knowledge.

We work in the media industry, which means we need to be at the forefront of technical solutions in all our systems. The development is governed by the media industry's agile way of working and the business’ needs. It is vital that you are interested in and are open towards understanding the business needs. 

Do you want to be part of an experienced team?
You will be part of a small team working with development, changes, problem solving and refinement of different systems. The team develops solutions to the Nordic countries, such as subscription systems, payment solutions, e-commerce, self-service, apps and internal systems. We participate in investigations, conduct problem solving and run other projects as well as develop solutions. You will be involved already from the early idea to the final solution with great opportunities to influence your daily work.

Your profile

• You have a relevant longer education (IT or engineering)
• At least 3 years of experience in development within: .NET, C # and MS SQL and maybe EPiServer knowledge
• Additionally, it is a plus if you have HTML5, CSS, MVC, jquery and APP development experience
• You might have worked with responsive web development (e.g. Bootstrap)
• You have experience from development departments in a bank, media, publishing or similar large volume transactions, preferably with payments and/or subscription solutions in larger business-critical ERP systems
• You might have worked as a consultant with comparable technologies, with a proven track record of software development

On the personal side we are looking for a forward thinking, technically curious person with problem solving skills. Furthermore, we appreciate a person who contributes to the team development and understands the importance of sharing knowledge and ideas to achieve shared goals. We consider sense of humour as an asset. It is a must that you understand Scandinavian languages as well as English as we work primarily in the Nordics.
