Robotto is a young startup that are currently looking to launch their first product AWRA, the Autonomous Wildfire Recognition and Analytics drone, and expanding to markets in Spain, Australia, and USA within 2020. This award-winning startup is in rapid growth and are expanding its development team to keep up with the interest from clients, and to future prove the AWRA platform for a diverse range of use-cases.
We are looking for a part-time student-worker to help us do some of the leg work that is required to optimize our current algorithms. You will get experience seeing your work directly tested and implemented into real wildfire operations through our pilot project with North Jutland’s Emergency Service.

Responsibilities

• Code optimization for the embedded systems of the NVIDIA Jetson TX2
• Algorithm Parallelization on CPU/GPU
• Implementing ROS topics in C++

Minimum Qualifications

• Studying Computer Science, Robotics, or related technical fields
• 1+ year of experience with C++
• Experience with hands-on robotics research
• Knowledge in system integration and algorithm optimization

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python
• Experience with ROS
• Experience working with CUDA/Cudnn

Your profile should be that of being self-motivated and passionate about real problem solving. Having the ability to rapidly prototype and test algorithms, is a vital part of our SCRUM development.
