For our Protocol & Autonomous Backend Component software section within the Corporate Technology department we are looking for an ambitious and dedicated software architect.

The Autonomous Component software section is a part of the bigger software department with employees in Brande, Skovlunde, Hamburg, Spain and India. We want to strengthen our innovative position within autonomous components (AC’s) and need a software architect for the team located in Skovlunde. AC’s are services which are used in a “micro-service” like architecture connected by a middleware. The software development follows agile methods and under Continuous Delivery principles. Both Autonomous Components and Continuous Delivery are strategic goals of the department.

The team has 5 developers in Skovlunde, 4 developers in Brande. The team members in Skovlunde are currently focusing on components for external interfaces at different levels in a Wind Farm and a site central solution for collecting and consolidating all historical data and making them available for external access. The team in Skovlunde is supported by 3 developers and 2 testers in Bangalore.  

How to contribute to our vision

The Advisory Engineer will be responsible for the software architecture of our AC’s. You will drive and guide software architecture, i.e. a technical realization concept, that allows a cost efficient and timely realization of the software with appropriate quality, even in the face of challenging and changing requirements and realization technologies.

As advisory engineer you will be coordinating both externally and internally. Externally by deriving software requirements and software functional specifications with stakeholders, i.e. to create date interfaces that matches the needs of the customer. Internally, by driving technical coordination, documentation and knowledge sharing in and across teams.

Additionally, you will work on new development and maintenance of our Autonomous Components and supporting tools, as well as validating that the software development is following agile methods and under continuous delivery principles.

A people-oriented IT engineer who is results- and detailed-oriented with focus on quality. You are motivating, have good collaborative and communication skills, and you have the ability to commit yourself in an international and informal environment.

In order to be qualified for the position you need to have an education as engineer or computer scientist or similar software related education, in addition to +5 years of experience within SOLID, Object oriented analysis and design, Visual Studio, C#, .NET and .Net Core as well as experience cooperating with external stakeholders. It would be of advantage if you have knowledge of the following: SQL, Git, Client/server systems, industry standard protocols, WCF, WPF (MVVM), REST API (JSON), data base technology, cybersecurity and SAFe.

Additionally, it is vital having a high level of English is essential, as it is the corporate language of Siemens Gamesa. It would be of advantage if you have experience from the wind industry.
