FORCE Technology’s business development unit Maritime, Air & Sound in Lyngby provides services to the global maritime industry, including performance monitoring and analysis of ships in operation. These services are offered by our Onboard Software Team through our SeaTrend® and SeaLogger® systems.

The systems offer both ship performance data acquisition and performance analysis and forms a complete and flexible vessel performance solution. Our Onboard Software Team is responsible for both development, maintenance and support of the system and benefits from the expertise and competences from the entire Department of Hydro- and Aerodynamics in the business development unit.

About the role and key responsibilities
As ship performance specialist you will become an integral member of the Onboard Software Team and take part in daily operation of the vessel performance analysis services.

The daily operations include monitoring of data reception, close contact with crews and ship management, planning and supervising installation of data acquisition systems, reviewing and communicating vessel performance analyses.

You will also contribute to development direction of the system and test of new releases of the system. Your key tasks will be:

  • Daily monitoring of data collection from ships
  • Follow up on data or performance issues with crews and ship management
  • Hardware and software system installation supervision
  • Review ship performance analyses and reporting
  • Setup of mathematical hydro- and aerodynamic reference ship models.

Your profile
You can maintain focus, structure and priorities if tasks pile up. In addition to above you are keen on acquiring new skills and like to switch between varies disciplines and tasks.

You have an analytical and structured approach and focus on improving methods and procedures to provide efficient and high-quality services to our customers.

You enjoy working in an international environment with colleagues of various nationalities and clients from many different countries. Furthermore, you have:

  • Preferably a master’s degree in naval architecture
  • Preferably experience in vessel performance monitoring
  • Good planning and project executing experience and can meet deadlines
  • Good communication and language skills in written and spoken English, and preferably also in Danish.
