Ship Designers

Who you are
You are innovative and curious, and like to find new solutions. You enjoy working with a network of skilled people in the transformation of technical opportunities to market trends.

You fascinates by the maritime business and the high request to quality, safety and environmental protection in the business. The international business atmosphere inspire you and with your knowledge of the different types of vessels, you take all opportunities and challenges to develop new creative solutions often in close cooperation with ship designers from the yards.

About the job
Our new Technical Office will cover all the Business Units in Marine Division with a holistic approach to harvest the synergies between the many Alfa Laval Marine products and systems. As our new employee, you will look at the optimal outcome of new technologies for improved cost optimization for our customers.

What you know
As Ship Designer, you are a Naval Architect, Marine Engineer or Mechanical Engineer (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) with at least 5years of experience from shipyard employment (design and production). You have a good knowledge about ship design institutes and shipping companies. You have a solid experience from machinery design and clear feeling with customer expectation in combination with new opportunities.

Working Experience
We expect you have worked within Shipyard, Shipping Company or Engine Designer.

You have worked as Project Manager and/or have experience with (informal) leadership

Experience from International cooperation is an advantage but not a request, your speak and write English
