Help expand the electricity system for the integration of renewable energy
You will be part of the department, Power Lines, which is part of the business unit Electricity Transmission, and you will join a team of 23 dedicated technical specialist. We are responsible for implementing cable and overhead line projects as well as international interconnectors.
As Technical Lead you are responsible for the technical execution of transmission projects from start to finish and you will have the overall technical responsibility for sea and land cable supply and installations for the future energy island in the North Sea. You will be faced with complex tasks in connection with securing the future HVDC interconnectors to Denmark as well as to other European countries.
You will be the anchor person for the cable engineering team in the project. Together you will identify, plan, and follow up on the technical deliveries needed for the cable project in the North Sea. Your considerations will be about design, quality assurance and execution of the construction project.
Your tasks are broad and cover, among other things:
- Clarify that overall technical solutions are achievable in relation to the market
- In close cooperation with the project manager, ensure that the cable project organization delivers according to the project's success criteria
- Ensure technical requirement specifications in tender documents for cables, in collaboration with specialists, other projects and project partners
- Participation in meetings with international partners and own project organation
- Ensure overview and consistency of technical deliveries throughout the project plan and see through any risk elements
- Coordinate and manage interfaces with internal and external actors in connection with the project in an international environment
- Participate in contract negotiations
- Follow up through the construction phase with a focus on technical clarifications, quality and finally handing over documentation to Asset.
You will have a broad interface with both the internal project organisation and the future external stakeholders, both nationally and internationally. You ensure a close dialogue with our partners in the projects, including other TSOs, as well as suppliers and contractors. You are also expected to contribute actively to strategic decisions together with the project manager and other stakeholders in the project.
You can take lead - and want to be involved where things happen
You preferably have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on offshore and onshore HV-cable projects, including design, contract management and follow-up on the construction work. Alternatively, you have experience from energy and/or infrastructure projects. You might have a background within power engineering and have been involved in projects with international partners or from international environments.
You are persistent and determined when it comes to ensuring progress, and you manage to use your open and understanding nature to communicate accurately and collaborate with colleagues across the organization. It is easy for you to see through complicated problems and translate complicated requirements into solutions. You emphasize high quality work, and you work analytically and structured. Finally, you have good interpersonal skills, a reflective appearance and a personal commitment.
