FORCE Technology in Kgs. Lyngby is looking for a Senior Team Leader for our computational services within hydro and aerodynamics.

FORCE Technology’s business development unit in Lyngby provides services to the global construction and maritime industries. This covers advanced ship simulations plus experimental and computational evaluation of buildings, bridges, ships and offshore structures to assess and optimize their performance.

About the role and key responsibilities
The Numerical Team is part of the Department for Hydro and Aerodynamics in the business development unit Maritime, Air & Sound. It performs all the department’s tasks related to numerical simulation including R&D activities. This covers hydro and aerodynamic CFD simulations for buildings, ships and offshore structures to assess flow features and loads from the environment, seakeeping calculations, and mathematical modeling for our simulators.

Further, the team provides consultancy assistance to our clients based on the computed results in connection with design optimization and troubleshooting.  

Your profile

As Senior Team Leader you will be responsible for leading the team in order to plan activities, allocate resources and secure the right competencies, while still participating actively in some of the team’s projects. You will be part of the leader group with the other Senior Team Leaders and refer to the Director of the Department.

Assignments:

  • Daily coordination and planning of the team’s assignments
  • People management
  • Project management
  • Participation in the team’s consultancy activities
  • Liaison with the experimental teams in the department
  • Contact with clients during projects and in the tender phase
  • Support sales function by writing quotations
  • Provide input to the department’s strategy regarding numerical services

Qualifications:

  • Preferable a master degree in naval architecture
  • Experienced in CFD simulations and parametric optimization in relation to maritime applications (we use STAR-CCM+ and CAESES plus NAPA and Rhino for 3D surface work)
  • Good at planning and executing projects to meet deadlines within allocated resources
  • Service-minded
  • Responsible and focused on the quality of the team’s work

Therefore, it is important that you have good communication skills and speak and write English at a professional level.
