Senior Researcher in vivo Drug Delivery and Theranostics in Immunology, Inflammation and Cancer

DTU Nanotech conducts cross-disciplinary research where micro- and nanotechnology is applied to a wide range of scientific disciplines as well as applications. The colloids and biological interfaces (CBIO) group is focused on nanoparticle design, synthesis, biophysical characterization and biological evaluation. The focus is on the fundamental properties of these systems from a basic research perspective.

The CBIO group at DTU Nanotech wishes to employ a senior scientist in highly interdisciplinary projects focusing on drug delivery research within the areas of cancer, immunotherapy, infection and inflammation. The main task will be to explore and develop advanced in vivo models and systems to investigate and evaluate drug delivery and biological and disease mechanisms. The work will include in vivo molecular imaging, including; PET, CT, MR, Fluorescence and bioluminescence imaging, experimental surgical procedures and preclinical radiation therapy.

Responsibilities and tasks
The work will be carried out in close collaboration with different research groups and, within the framework of the Center for Nanomedicine and Theranostics. You will play a leading role in the in vivo research and biological analyses and related activities in the CBIO group, interacting with several members working in different disciplines, such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, pharmacology and pathology. The job involves co-supervision of PhD and master students as well writing of research grant proposals.
