Then you may be our new Senior R&D FPGA Engineer.

We are now offering a challenging position where you will be an active contributor in the innovation team within the Hardware development team and participate in securing the future success of Ambu to the benefit of our users.

You will be part of an effective innovation culture with a tradition for fast completion of projects, which means that there is a visible link between your results and Ambu’s growth. You will be a member of the Platform Innovation team located at our headquarters in Ballerup. We have full focus on developing new products and processes that combine several technologies in new and innovative ways. This imposes high demands to your skills and broad experience.

Electronics and FPGA development
You are a vital player in product development projects and you will lead many internal and external aspects of FPGA design implementations. You will act as an internal consultant on the development projects within the electrical field and FPGA programming and you will work closely with external partners. You will be apart of our Displaying unit module team, which is responsible for the electronics component placed in the visualization devices and the Displaying units.  

Your main responsibilities include

  • Leading electronics-FPGA development within projects
  • Hardware interaction and implementation

FPGA programming, documentation and testing

  • Responsible for HW design and development of a product
  • Participate in review of electrical design
  • Participate in review of FPGA design
  • Verification and testing in cooperation with our external partners

You will also be responsible for documentation of the products according to FDA and ISO and you will assist QA/RA in the regulatory and quality assurance engineering issues in the electronic area.

Your contact base will be broad, and you will have interface with Ambu’s global organisation, all departments involved in product development projects and externally with subcontractors, users and knowledge centres.

Experienced medical device engineer
In order to be successful in the job, you need to thrive in work situations with both internal and external partners where you use your outstanding interpersonal skills to ensure long-lasting and beneficial solutions. You are positive, constructive, structured, detail oriented and you combine a proactive mind-set with the ability to plan, execute and meet deadlines. 

You have +5 years’ of experience with electronic hardware development, worked as FPGA developer for minimum 5 years, and you hold a master’s degree in electronics engineering or similar. You have experience with medical device standards IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2 (EMC) and IEC 62304.. Additionally, you have some insight in different communication technologies (including Wireless), and you have great interest in customer understanding and translating the customer requirement/application demands into product features.

Since we are a global company, you will be involved in cross-cultural collaboration. You must be fluent in English and you can expect some travelling (approximately 20 days per year).
