Senior project manager - waste to energy

As result hereof, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to our Waste to Energy department in Lyngby - Could that be you?

COWI is the top one consultant within biomass and waste to energy consultancy in Denmark. Based on our current strongholds we experience a continued growth also outside Denmark.

Therefore, we are looking for an experienced, ambitious and business oriented Senior Project Manager for our department; Bioenergy and Thermal Power.

You will be responsible for the technical and commercial management of projects within the waste to energy sector nationally and internationally.

You will be part of a team of 21 engineers and consultants and report to the Head of Section within waste to energy, Thomas Jensen.

Strong profile within waste to energy
You are most likely engineer, hold a master's degree or equivalent education and have more than 10 years of experience working in the field of waste to energy potentially combined with experience from the biomass sector.

In addition, you have more than 10 years of experience with international project management including contract and risk management preferably from either the consulting business or the energy industry.

You see yourself as an effective and customer-oriented project manager and have a proven record of successful projects. You are a good communicator who can handle multiple projects and who understands to match expectations internally in your project team as well as in relation to the customer.

You will be responsible for national and international projects
You will head cross-disciplinary projects with a defined responsibility for the management of project teams as well as the management of your own project portfolio.

Your main areas of responsibility:

• You are experienced within project management both at a technical and commercial level
• As an experience project manager, you are familiar with team management, performance management and mentoring selected employees.
• You have a natural drive and get your energy and motivation, when you are in interacting with team members and clients. You have a positive mind-set and encourage team spirit in the joint efforts of achieving the best possible project result.

The department Bioenergy and Thermal Power is located in Lyngby, Odense, Vejle, Aarhus and Aalborg. Internationally, we are supported by COWI subsidiaries in many regions. We have projects in many parts of the world with focusing on Scandinavia, Africa, China, Asia and Eastern Europe.
