Senior Project Manager, Transportation Systems

Welcome to the Transportation Systems Unit
The role of the Transportation System Unit (TS) is to ensure that the functional requirements in our contracts are fulfilled by our contractors. In close collaboration we are constantly looking for good and sustainable solutions for our projects. We are following the projects from design through construction to operational handover.

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager for The Copenhagen light rail project with relevant experience in managing a complex contract with many technical disciplines and many stakeholders. It is necessary that you have an extensive experience in project management and a broad knowledge of several technical systems used within transportation systems. As examples SCADA, power supply, monitoring & control systems, Rolling Stock.

As Project Manager you will have the daily contact with the project management from our TS-contractor. You will be responsible for the management of the contract, including coordination, daily contact as well as commercial and contractual issues. It is important that you can establish good relations to stakeholders and to maintain a strong focus on progress through constructive collaboration without compromising safety.

Internally you will work closely together with the Project Director, the Construction Manager and technical specialists as well as several other units – especially Engineering and Construction Management.

Together with the Contract Director you will lead an aligned approach across contracts, drive progress according to plans, find ways to overcome obstacles and interface issues. You will be reporting to the Head of TS.

To succeed in the role, you can meet a number of the criteria below;

• Cooperative mindset and leadership skills
• Solution oriented
• Strong planning and communication skills
• A strong project management background with relevant experience in contractual issues, negotiation, planning, economy etc.
• Process strong stakeholder management skills across disciplines and organizational levels
• Used to work in an international environment where both English and Danish are used as working languages (oral/writing)
• 10+ years of experience from other complex projects - preferable within infrastructure and transportation systems
