At the VELUX Group, we give you the chance to grow. To shape your own career. To work in an international environment. To be part of a company that leads the market in sustainable indoor living. Would you like to play an important role in creating the foundations and digital data platforms that will ultimately support digitalisation of our entire production in Europe?

Working with MES and Industry 4.0, you will be able to influence the strategy and drive the MES area forward in a market-leading company within sustainable living.

Your challenges
Within the VELUX Group, a global market leader in skylights and sustainable indoor living, we have the ambition of digitalising our production set-up, focusing on MES/MOM as well as Industry 4.0 as the way forward.

As you take part in creating the strategy for this system and work with our sites to roll it out, you will collaborate across the entire organisation, including European Production Companies, Quality, Logistics, IT and Technology in Denmark. As such, you will be based in any European production facility of your choice but travel often to collaborate closely with the Danish-based divisions.

The implementation of the system will happen through several projects, and you will manage several at a time. A vital part of your role will be, together with your colleagues from Production Technology, to secure our knowledge and positioning within MES, maintenance systems and Industry 4.0 as well as provide valuable input for choosing the right platforms.

Your other primary tasks will be to:

  • Develop and implement MES/MOM technology strategies together with management
  • Support technology, process and productivity development
  • Lead project teams and suppliers to gain commitment and results

“You will gain a large network as you collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organisation. It will also take you travelling around 40-60 days per year in both Denmark and Europe as you meet with colleagues at production sites, listen to their wishes and create buy-in,” says Steen Brorsen, Global Production Technology Manager.

Your qualifications
As a person, you value teamwork and collaboration, and with your good communication and project leader skills, you ensure that all team members are on board and feel heard. Also, you know how to share your knowledge and to function as a go-to person for your area. While you are motivated by deadlines and project completion with the best possible results, you still manage to challenge status quo and speak up in a solution-oriented way - always with a focus on how to create value for the business.

  • You have a technical background, preferably as an engineer, or maybe you have an advanced education within IT
  • You have thorough experience from a production environment and 5+ years of experience in driving large projects within MES/MOM and production technology
  • You can lead projects with stakeholders across the organisation
  • You have knowledge of MES/MOM and digitalisation (Industry 4.0) from working with different MES systems, and it is an advantage if you also have knowledge of maintenance systems
  • You speak and write flawless English, and you have a good understanding of different cultures

Your opportunities
You will join our Global Production Technology team which is an international team with 50 colleagues based in Denmark and France. Together, we are responsible for developing new production technologies.

“We take our responsibilities very seriously here in our team. There is, however, always room for good humour and a smile. Collaboration is front and centre in our team, which creates great trust among us. In general, you will join an organisation where commitment, thoroughness and mutual respect are among our core values,” finishes Steen.
