Energinet shares its knowledge and experience from integrating renewable energy into electricity systems with much of the world through its consultancy business, Energinet Associated Activities.

Energinet currently has an outstanding career opportunity for a senior project manager to grow our international collaboration activities within grid development and grid connection of renewable energy sources.

You will be part of Energinet’s Grid Analysis Department and represent Energinet Associated Activities and initiate and drive international collaboration. This will be accomplished through technical expertise, project management, innovative ideas, collaboration with internal stakeholders and establishing relationships with our international partners.

Interest in grid development and grid connection
As senior project manager you will be part of Energinet’s international collaboration and will work closely with colleagues from departments within Energinet regarding grid development, grid connection studies and knowledge on cables, substations, and asset management. As project manager you will facilitate og lead the collaboration between technical specialists and our international partners.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Being responsible for project initiation and management of international projects with focus on grid planning and grid connection

  • Manage and lead multi-discipline teams

  • Being responsible for developing project execution approach

  • Actively participate on and support project teams ensuring high quality deliverables, budget, and on-time

  • Communicate project progress and status to international partners and internal stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain relations with Energinet’s stakeholders and customers for international consultancy

  • Being responsible for relevant international delegations visiting Energinet

International outlook and communication
Your background is a bachelor’s, master’s degree in electrical engineering and minimum 10 years of related experience with grid planning and grid connection and preferably experience from the consultancy business. Furthermore you possess:

  • A good technical understanding of renewable energy development, integration, distributed energy resources and storage, power sector resilience, and the data and analytical tools needed to support them.

  • 5+ years in project management related roles is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely with multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams spread across several countries and time zones.

  • Excellent communication skills in Danish and English (written and verbal) preferred

  • Willingness to travel (you can expect 25 days travel pr. year)
