Senior Project Manager
Here is a great opportunity to work as Project Manager, Lime Kiln in a strong and dedicated team. We are now looking for a Project Manager who will be part of our journey to continue being the preferred supplier of fossil-free lime kilns within the Pulp & Paper industry.
Valmet is the frontrunner of making the Pulp and Paper industry free of the fossil fuels. We are currently transforming the industry with sustainable fossil-free solutions that enables our customers to eliminate the use of fossil fuels in their lime kilns used in the pulp mills.
As our Project Manager, you will manage both new and upgrade lime kiln projects across the world which often include construction. Your tasks include contract management, project plan management, budget follow-up, risk management, support to our site construction teams as well as management of possible contractual disputes with customers and subcontractors.
All of this will be done while we continue to develop Valmet’s lime kiln business to maintain Valmet’s position as the leading supplier.
You will be part of our project management team in Valmet’s Lime Kiln Technology Unit located in Copenhagen and co-operate with our engineering & supply chain teams and you will manage our activities with our supervisors at our customers’ sites. In large pulp mill projects, you work close together with Valmet’s global project organization, and you will support our sales team to develop our offerings to serve our customers.

Most important you have the right drive and commercially minded entrepreneurial attitude to co-operate, perform and be part of a team of dedicated colleagues in an informal atmosphere. You are energized by a daily business that from time to time is very hectic and requires many priorities to meet deadlines and challenging goals.
You will have strong project management and business skills from the heavy industry and preferably have experience with site supervision and EPC contracts. You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience and preferably, you have experience within rotary kiln, pulp and energy or other chemical industries.
International business experience, willingness to travel and fluency in English are also required for this position.
