Senior Project Manager

To ensure future global competiveness, we are facing extensive investments in new CNC workcenters, robots and digitalization. To support the transformation we are looking a Senior Project Manager to ensure successful implementation of machinery and equipment.

What are you going to do?

As Senior Project Manager, you will drive digitalization, transformation and business initiatives within the organization. You will ensure efficient project execution according to time, cost and scope, and you will be responsible for all parts of the projects, from the very start to final handover, in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

This includes among others:

• Business perspective and investment applications.
• Technical clarification and preparation of specifications.
• Tender management with MAN Energy Solutions’ purchase department and coordination with suppliers on technical and commercial issues.
• Design review, FAT and SAT.
• Installation and run-in.
• Pilot production and handover to production.
• Performance evaluation.

Who are you?

The role is complex and we imagine that you have extensive experience with navigating in a global organization. Moreover, that you with personal drive can bring your project organizational skill into play when working with a range of different stakeholders – from the shop floor to the management office.  

We expect that you:

• Have excellent skills in project management.
• Possess strong drive with a proactive initiative-taking approach.
• Have strong people skills with the ability to involve and motivate your team and other stakeholders.
• Have a technical background on M.Sc. or B.Sc. level.
• Hold preferably a project management certification e.g. Prince2, PMI, IPMA or equivalent.

• Experience from metal- or machine industry is an advantage.

Travel activity of approx. 10-20 days must be expected.

How is your new team/area of business?

You will be part of a dedicated team of four project managers. We have a relaxed and informal atmosphere with a joint aim for project excellence. The project teams will include colleagues from production engineering, production (team leaders and machine operators), planning, finance, purchase etc. You will also interact with a wide range of external suppliers.

The factory in Teglholmen has 250 employees in production and administration and has a long and proud tradition for production of parts for two-stroke marine engines. The production environment is characterized by an informal tone and short distance from factory floor to management.
