Are you ambitius and eager to develop your career within the pharmaceutical industry? Are you both strategic and a teamplayer across stakeholders? Then you might be Novo Nordisk new Senior Manager for project office within Purification Plants, Diabetes API in Kalundborg, Denmark.

The Position

 As responsible for planning, staffing and executing you hold up a significant portfolio of investment projects ranging from DKK 1 to 500 million, while heading up a team of 20 experienced Project Managers, Consultants and Controllers. As Senior Manager you set direction and teamspirit, whereto our Project Portfolio Manager, responsible for project controls and our production directors, will be your most important stakeholder in order for us to stay compliant – every day.

You can look forward to:

  • Beeing in charge of large and complex investment projects; keeping track on risks, schedules  and costs

  • Analysing and planning the right resources to support projects execution in close collaboration with Project Portfolie Manager, PA and Project Managers 

  • Contract negotiations and performance meetings with external engineering partners such as NNE and AFRY

  • Beeing a part of steering comittes with top management

  • Setting strategic directions and contious work with process simplifications, standards and systems to develop our project portfolio office further

  • Leading and coaching of Project Managers 

Our department hold 80 specialised employees, with close collaboration across teams and Associate Mangers, including IT specialist, training, planning, purchase, finance and our CLean & quality coordinator. Combined we are PP Business Support, and together we support 4 purifications productions sites including a Spray dryer unit. You bring strategic perspective and a general overview from shop floor to director level, with an open and proactive leadership approach, making sure your team thrive while cooperating and challenge the way we do business. Besides your own team, you will also get help from our department PA making sure time is spend efficient.

Thereto, managing our relationship to external contractors and engennering partners, such as NNE, AFRY but also smaller consultancies, with weekly meeting and follow up on project.

Qualifications

  • An academic background within engineering, economics, supply chain or something similar

  • Several years of experience within project planning and execution of projects from a similar position in the global pharmaceutical industry or from a consultancy business specialised in project execution

  • Preferably experience from working in a GMP regulated industry, such as the pharmaceutical- however we do  look forward  to receiving applications from different industries as well

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and natural ability to talk to employees at all levels

We expect you to be fluent in English both written and spoken; Danish language skills on a communicative level or willingness to learn it would be advantageous.
