Senior Manager, HW/SW, R&D

Dynaudio, the legendary Danish speaker maker, is looking for a new Senior Manager for our hardware/software team at our HQ in Skanderborg.

About the job
As Senior Manager of the HW/SW team in our R&D department, your main responsibility will be to lead a team of highly skilled and dedicated specialists. You will also play a leading role in technology development projects. As a Senior manager in the R&D function you also participate in the development and implementation of strategy within your functional area.

Other responsibilities include:

• Coaching and supporting the colleagues in the team to optimize performance
• Maintaining a high level of technical and professional knowledge in the HW/SW area
• Gate keeping on future HW and SW solutions
• Development of the individuals in the team
• Sparring on professional and functional issues in own team as well as with other teams in R&D
• Budget and resource planning in the team
• Overall accountability for compliance within our electronic products

About the department
We’re a team of 5 colleagues working to ensure the HW/SW components match the high quality standard of  the best speakers in the world. We each have our strengths and main responsibilities but we get nowhere without each other. We are a part of the R&D department in Dynaudio consisting of around 30 colleagues in Denmark and also colleagues in China. Everyone in Dynaudio is a part of the final product and we focus on cooperation and treating each other professionally.

About you
You hold a B.Sc. or an M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering and have at least 3 years’ experience leading highly specialised engineers within the high-tech segment.

Furthermore you have:

• Experience from working in the consumer electronics industry
• Experience with leading technology development projects
• Experience with budgeting and department management
• Experience in working with different cultures and personality types, across multiple departments and geographies
• A genuine interest in developing yourself and your team

You are a team player with a good sense of humour and a skilled communicator who can establish sound working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.

English is our main company language, so you’ll need to be comfortably fluent in both writing and speaking it too.
