Would you like to work for a global leader and be responsible for the electrical safety across our offshore wind sites?  

Join us and become Senior Lead Specialist in the Electrical Safety department where you’ll develop the electrical safety area and coach the people working at our wind power sites. You’ll be responsible for setting up a training and authorisation regime for the HV organisation, ensuring the required competences and skills are defined, established and maintained for the safe operation of the plant or equipment. 
  
Your key tasks will be to  

  • resource planning of permanent and contract staff based at various locations across our sites and support project execution business units  
  • handle the review and update of our Electrical Safety Rules documents, templates and procedures  
  • handle education planning, certification and assessments of senior authorised persons and control engineers 
  • manage investigations of incidents involving electrical safety as well as implementing lessons learned and ensuring communication to various departments 
  • prepare, implement and execute the annual audit plan and programme for operation sites and project sites, including ad hoc inspections and audits together with the manager of the department  
  • adapt country-specific rules and legislations and ensure compliance with different national requirements.

Moreover, you’ll drive efficiency and standardisation through the continuous development of Electrical Safety Rules. You’ll also communicate and manage stakeholders to ensure buy-in and compliance with our rules at all management levels in the organisation. Finally, you’ll develop project resources and working models in collaboration with commissioning managers.  

  
Your competences include that you  

  • have a technical education, such as an engineering degree, a high voltage engineer or a certified electrician  
  • have extensive knowledge of electrical systems and HV equipment, preferably with knowledge of UK, German and EU safety regulations relating to HV work activities  
  • have experience working in field (site) and back office environments, and working closely with structured permit for work and QHSE systems  
  • are experienced in electrical safety rules and have knowledge of generation and transmission systems within the UK and Europe  
  • possess a high decision orientation, combined with the ability to maintain a high-level overview while managing technical and detailed issues.    

Furthermore, you should have excellent influencing skills, with a personable, patient and collaborative style.
