Senior Field Service Engineer & Team Lead

International position in nano technology growth company

For our client CAPRES in Copenhagen, we are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer. After a period of internal training, you will be responsible for assisting customers in using the advanced CAPRES measuring equipment and technology. This technology makes it possible to measure semiconductor materials and magnetic tunnel junctions - a quality of great signification for future computer chips, MRAM's and Read Heads of hard disks. 

You will be part of a team being responsible for servicing customers world-wide from installation of the equipment, making sure that it works according to customer specifications to training of the users. Subsequently, you are the customers point of contact and trouble shooter of equipment errors. Your expert and general technical knowledge makes it possible for you to quickly understand the equipment defects and service needed. You make the right decisions and coordinate the efforts to be done - either by yourself, by colleagues or by sub-contractors.

You will be responsible for a number of customers in Asia and the US, and you are the back office service engineer for the CAPRES agents and distributors. However, you can also have to service other markets from time to time to assist your team members.

Travelling must be expected, approx. 100 days annually, to mainly semiconductor industries and start-ups in Asian countries and in California, US.  You must expect to be requested to travel with short notice to solve customer issues.

Personal skills
You probably have a Master degree in Electronics, Robot or Automation Technologies, Technical Physics, or have other relevant background. You have at least 10 years of professional experience including experience in a similar international position of minimum 5 years. 

Moreover, it is important that you have a thorough technical basis with experience and inclination to working with specific issues in relation to advanced technical equipment. It is an advantage if you have experience with metrology equipment, high-precision equipment, pressure, automation, and interaction of various equipment.

You are fluent in English, both orally and in writing.

Sensitivity to Asian culture as well as work experience with Asian companies will be greatly appreciated.

Personal qualities
You have the ability to work independently with high quality level and you have excellent analytical skills as well as a pragmatic approach to solving problems onsite under difficult circumstances. Furthermore, you have an outgoing personality, take responsibility, have fine communication skills as well as flair for customer relations. 

Also, you are a stout character, are easy to get on with and have a keen sense of humour.

The company have developed and put a new metrology tool (microRSP-A300) on the market which will likely set the standard for automatic measurements of sheet resistance in the semiconductor fabs for present and coming technology nodes.
