Senior ETCS Test Engineers for Ramboll’s Signalling Department in Copenhagen

At Ramboll we are working on some of the largest ERTMS signalling programmes. We are passionate about signalling and modern technology to operate the railway, committed to excellence and outstanding performance. Through our projects we are engaged in all aspects and stages of signalling projects, from the development of operational concepts and technology to business change and organisation. Currently we are looking for ETCS test engineers to support our clients in the test and commissioning of ERTMS/ETCS systems.

Your responsibilities as Test Engineer
As ETCS Test Engineer in Ramboll you will be part of an international team working on multiple national and international projects. In the role as ETCS Test Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring assigned tests are complete (identify the expectations, write the procedures, support the execution and analyse results ensuring that technical requirements and operational needs are met).

Your main responsibilities are, but are not be limited to:

  • Develop and manage test plans and procedures
  • Execute test activities and support planning
  • Participate in witnessing, inspections and factory acceptance tests at the suppliers
  • Analyse data, test results and generate test reports
  • Manage and follow up on defects and clarification of issues
  • Prepare specifications and other technical contract documentation
  • Support the implementation and commissioning of ETCS systems
  • Ensure development and transfer of knowledge and experience to the team

You and your competencies
We imagine you have an engineering degree or similar within electronics, systems engineering or IT, with a minimum of 3-5 years industry experience in testing with a proven knowledge of one of the railway signalling domain: Interlocking, Traffic Management System, European Train Control System (ETCS), GSM-R, Fixed Transmission Network, Railway operation. You have a deep understanding, and experience, of applying Systems Engineering Process and implementation of lessons learned.

As a person you are responsible, systematic and focused on solutions and outcomes. You have proven experience in providing technical expertise in all project stages, and good communication skills (written and oral). You are a team player working collaboratively with teams, peers and clients. You appreciate working in an informal working environment, where you have a considerable influence on your own working day.
