Senior ETCS Signalling Engineers for Ramboll’s Signalling Department in Copenhagen

At Ramboll we are working on some of the largest ERTMS signalling programmes. Through our projects we are engaged in all aspects and stages of signalling projects, from the development of operational concepts, and technology, to business change, and organisation. Due to our success, and the general growth in ERTMS projects, we are currently looking for a Senior ETCS Signalling Engineer.

Your responsibilities as Senior ETCS Engineer
As Senior ETCS Engineer in Ramboll you will be involved in a wide variety of projects, and you will work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary and international teams on all project phases. With focus on ETCS, interlocking and trackside systems you will be part of a team committed to provide world class expertise and solutions to our clients.

Your main responsibilities are, but are not be limited to:

  • Leading technical teams in the development and implementation of ETCS for our clients
  • Providing technical ETCS and signalling expertise for our international projects
  • Building strong client relationships by seeking to anticipate, meet and understand client needs
  • Prepare design, specification and contract documentation
  • Support and manage the implementation and commissioning of ETCS systems
  • Reviewing or verify and interpret engineering outputs and reports to ensure that work produced complies with quality system and client requirements
  • Contribute to pursuits and proposals of varying complexity and size
  • Ensure development and transfer of knowledge and experience to the team

You and your competencies
We imagine you have an engineering degree or similar within electronics, systems engineering or IT, with a minimum of 10 years industry experience in implementing ETCS, with a solid understanding of concept of operations, interlocking, train control systems and interfacing to legacy systems. You have a high level of understanding, and experience, of applying Systems Engineering Process and implementation of lessons learned.

As a person you are responsible, systematic and focused on solutions and outcomes. You have proven experience in providing technical expertise in all project stages, and excellent communication skills (written and oral), with proven leadership abilities through working collaboratively with teams, peers and clients. You appreciate working in an informal working environment, where you have a considerable influence on your own working day. The job requires the ability to travel 30-40 days a year.
