Would you like to make a difference five days a week? A career where you contribute to the quality of life for people worldwide. Guess what? You have found the right place! We are currently looking for a new colleague to join R&D in our Acoustics & Integration department.
Oticon is a part of the Demant Group. Our R&D department embraces the whole circle of development in-house. In our Acoustics & Integration team, we are looking for a Senior Electro Acoustic Engineer who would like to contribute with innovative electro acoustic development and who would like the prospect of spearheading future product development.
Join the Acoustics and Integration team
Our team is responsible for design and verification of the electroacoustic concepts we use in our products, and transducer knowledge. We focus on delivering solutions that enable us to deliver world-class hearing aid solutions, including in-depth transducer knowledge and development of new acoustic concepts for future products.
We participate in product development as well as maturation of concepts, before they are used in product development. Communication of results, whether in projects, in concept development or in documented knowledge is key to our growth, as is cross functional cooperation with mechanical and electronics developers in our team.
Building quality Electro Acoustic Solutions
Together with 60 skillful and enthusiastic colleagues, you will join us in improving conventional electro acoustic and mechanical solutions to benefit our end-user and customer. In your new job you will be part of our Hardware Acoustics and Mechanics group. The excitement this group faces daily is the development of highly challenging platforms, due to the high degree of functionality that hearing instruments offer. Furthermore, we focus on developing our platforms to fit multiple brands adding to the complexity. The team works closely together with other competences i.e., audiologists and engineers specialized in amplifiers and embedded systems.
The biggest step is to develop a platform that provides the needed acoustical gain and at the same time securing a good mechanical and acoustical feedback margin. Here a close corporation with the mechanical engineers and the pre-production team is crucial for a good result.
Your responsibilities include:
- Acoustic system design and development
- Platform calibration/settings
- Design specifications
- Effort estimation and planning
- Selection of components i.e. transducers – microphones, receivers/speakers
- Testing, verifying and documenting electro-acoustical performance of HW platforms
As Electro Acoustic Developer you will have a high degree of influence and together with your colleagues you will contribute to the development of the next generations of hearing instruments.
Your backpack
We imagine that you hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, focusing on electro acoustics. Furthermore, you have some years of experience as an electro acoustic developer. We expect you to have expertise within sound quality, acoustic measurements, vibro-acoustics, and sound path design. Having knowledge from working with electro acoustic or magnetic designs of hearing instruments or other smaller products such as cell phones, headsets or similar it is considered a big plus.
You enjoy working in a professional environment, and you are eager to work with professional colleagues. We offer you the opportunity of further developing your skills and believe that Oticon is a good place to develop your career.
As a person, you are proud of your profession, curious and a team-oriented person by heart. You have good communication skills and enjoy networking and navigating in a cross-functional organization with varying projects.
We believe in the good life
As a company, we trust and value your professionalism, experience, and dedication. Your new perspectives, insights and ideas are the cornerstones of our success, and we encourage you to think out of the box and structure your workflow with a high level of freedom.
We are a company that take pride in delivering solutions that allow people to live their lives to the max. We also recognize that to bring energy and inspiration to work, you need to re-energize and spend time with family, friends, and hobbies in a healthy work life balance.
