Senior Department Manager, Process Data Analytics, Denmark
We are creating a pivotal new team in our organization, to rethink how we utilize big data and utilize advanced analytics for improving our production processes within Novozymes. We are looking for an ambitious and experienced lead software engineer to pioneer Novozymes’ digital production journey. Your primary responsibility will be in building and leading a new team: working to harvest significant value from our production process data. You will need to combine your extensive hands-on programming experience with daily people management, team management, and project management.

Together with your team you will implement data-science solutions within novel open-source technologies and lead a combined team of internal and external experts towards high performance. You and the team will build new platforms and technology, establishing a cloud based data lake to supply high quality data sets and develop tools & models for process optimization through a significant code base and internal apps, making a major contribution to the future of our organization. Key to your success is the ability to create cross-functional synergies and step into a dynamic collaboration with Novozymes’ many other digital initiatives.

In this position, you need to have:

• A talent and drive for people management and team management
• A strong desire to drive innovation and collaboration
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in software engineering
• At least 3 years experience as lead developer
• At least 2 years of direct people management experience (team management).
• Solid experience in custom software development and data engineering
• Strong expertise in Agile project management methodologies (as scrum master or other roles)
• Application release management experience
• Solid capabilities within Java, Linux systems (command line and installations) and continuous integration (TDD, Jenkins, Git).

To be a success in this position, you must possess excellent collaboration skills, good communication and presentation skills and the ability to build coalitions with stakeholders across the organization. Furthermore, strong analytical reasoning and problem solving abilities, combined with self-motivation and ability to prioritize tasks and time, are crucial.
As English is our corporate language, you need to have excellent English skills - both written and verbal.

In this position, you preferably also have experience with:

• SQL, HIVE, HDFS hands-on
• Ambari or Cloudera management hands-on
• Network security, FreeIPA, LDAP, Kerberos, Ranger
• Cluster or systems administration
• Python, NiFi, Spark
• Data science tooling, statistics, and advanced analytics including Machine Learning
