Senior Bioinformatician for CRISPR development, Molecular Discovery, Denmark

Join us as our new Senior Bioinformatician (2 years temporary position, with possibility of extension)
We are seeking a bioinformatician with skills and motivation to help discover and explore novel CRISPR systems. You are either an experienced senior bioinformatician with a track-record from working with CRISPR, genome editing and state-of-the-art prediction tools for CRISPR specificity – or you have the motivation to deepen your domain knowledge while supporting collogues who has the domain expertise.

To succeed you: 

  • Hold a MSc or PhD in molecular biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, computational biology, metabolic engineering, or other relevant fields. In the role as CRISPR bioinformatics scientist you may be responsible for: driving project progress, keeping yourself updated with scientific literature and evaluating new bioinformatics tools in the field
  • Have a strong data mindset, with good programming skills (Python/Jupyter preferred) and comfortable using common bioinformatics tools including homology searches and basic database concepts. Preferably, you work comfortably in collaborating through a shared code stack.
  • Are result-driven, strong team player with good communicative skills
  • Will be joining a fantastic team of dedicated scientists with diverse competences in molecular biology, protein structure, molecular dynamics, deep learning, and natural language processing. We bring these competences together to discover and engineer new enzymes that help our customers optimize their processes, save energy, reduce chemicals, and lower the overall environmental impact

This job will be located at Lyngby and Bagsværd, Denmark.
