Pursue this opportunity to work with the brightest specialists within their field as the head of a highly experienced team of CAD 7 specialists, all located in Hedehusene. 

Your future team
This position is anchored in Group Technology (GT) organisation, making sure that we have accurate 3D models available for our large Greenfield and Brownfield projects. GT organisation is counting more than 200 skilled colleagues delivering solutions for our factories globally. GT supports with design and infrastructure of our factories, documentation, and other services from a technology point of view. This section helps coordinate between design and building on large greenfield and brownfield projects.

In The CAD Layout team – we help design and coordinate 3D layouts of new factory installations. We work closely with Part Project Managers, Factory Design Managers and internal Civil competences and externally civil designers and contractors.  We are a part of the large projects from concept to commissioning, continuously working towards a clash free model. For this we and the other engineering teams need guidelines and tools fit for purpose the CAD Layout teams ensures that we have the right tools available and have standards available for use.

This is the role
You will be responsible for managing 7 dedicated CAD Coordinators and Mechanical Designers with a mix of practical- and design backgrounds. You will manage the team’s activities and prioritise and assign their tasks in alignment with the direction set by the Group Technology Director. Also, in addition to managing the team, you will actively participate in consultancy tasks and projects.

  • Collaborate with our 2 other Section managers in the unit as well as our CAD System Coordinator
  • Sparring on CAD Systems with our CAD system coordinator and with our mechanical department in Poznan
  • Complete performance reviews, recruitment and other personnel actions.
  • Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges and guide employees on technical matters.
  • Development of own staff to the benefit of Rockwool, Group Technology and the individual employee
  • Accountable for the budget, performance and results of the section typically within your function.
  • Can represent the department towards other divisions in our Group Technology Organization and our DIGI organization
  • Understands how deliveries of own area impacts interfacing other units in the organisation and our operating business
  • Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from senior manager or Director.
  • Owner of CAD standards for layouts and other standards within own area
  • Develop plans for own area and set priorities, which aligns section activities with department

Should you have professional experience from construction industry, architectural, engineering or installation it is an advantage as well as knowledge of Autodesk programs like Navisworks or Inventor.
