Sales Manager for Propeller & Aft Ship systems

Communicating technical solutions in an international setup?
For our Retrofit & Upgrade department in MAN Diesel & Turbo’s Propeller & Aft Ship headquarters in Frederikshavn, Denmark we are seeking a sales manager to join our team.

In a close cooperation with the rest of the team in Frederikshavn and our local sales managers around the globe in our international group companies you will be responsible for developing the propeller retrofit business in a number of geographic areas.

The Retrofit & Upgrade, Propeller & Aft ship is young department building up a business area with high potential. You will market and sell high-efficient MAN Alpha propulsion solutions, at times in combination with the entire product range of MAN Diesel & Turbo for retrofit and upgrade projects for all vessel types and customer segments.

Your qualifications

• A competent person with a technical background as engineer, marine engineer or the like.
• Result oriented, able to solve tasks independently in a small focused team of highly qualified and dedicated team members.
• Motivated by the cooperation across professional and national boundaries and is driven by the challenge of building up team spirit and networking across departments.
• Internationally experience from the maritime business – preferable technical sales experience.
• Familiar with presenting technical solutions.
• Thrive on observing procedures, processes and keeping high documentation requirements.
• Take responsibility, outgoing and has the ability to build and maintain relations.

Tasks:

• Responsible for submission of tenders and preparation of technical and commercial solutions tailored to the specific requirements of our customers.
• Sales and contract negotiations.
• Sales promotion, conduct seminars for colleagues from our world organization, customers and clientele as well as participation in trade exhibitions
• Cooperation with external sales organization in own sales area.
• Travel activity approximately 60 days annually.
