As our new colleague you will be part of a Nordic Team  with base in Skanderborg reporting to the Head of the function. The Nordic set-up is still new with a good possibility to put your mark on the position.

You will be in front of the customers in the Nordics working closely with partners, local country organizations as well as the supportive functions from the Products Group and at GEA in Skanderborg.

As Sales Manager/Business Developer you will be responsible for developing the business activities and achievement of specific sales targets of GEA Flow Components Equipment and Homogenizers in the Nordic countries. You have to develop all the activities and initiatives that are necessary to build up different route to market in close cooperation with the local Country Sales and Service organizations, supported by the Product Group which will assist with Technical support, Quotes, Product Launches etc.

You provide professional advice and support to existing and new customers, contractors and agents in Nordic. You collect wishes for new products and/or product improvements, advice clients on innovative and high quality solutions and support them in carrying out their projects. Here you will work closely with the Product Group Sales steering as well as with the organization based locally.

You do your best to increase the market share of GEA, you contribute to the awareness and image of GEA and you work in consultation with your colleagues from the relevant departments for the right approach and presentation. You constantly invest in maintaining and expanding your network of contacts. Frequent travels primarily in Nordic are absolute linked to this function.

Primary tasks and duties:

  • Building route to market in each country
  • Set up contracts and agreements
  • Selling to customer needs and understand their business
  • Negotiation with customer
  • Sales planning
  • Quotations & contracts
  • Managing sales processes including internal corporation and alignment activities.
  • Responsible for selected and high profiled customers

Skills and Qualifications
You have a degree in engineering, process technology, and process engineering or similar.

You know the culture and business culture in the Nordic countries and ideally the commercial differences in each of the countries in the Nordic area.

You have a proven track record of working within the Hygienic industries such as Food, Dairy, Beverage and Pharma industries including +5 years of sales leadership experience selling to customers, agents, contractors and OEMs.

Language skills should be fluent in at least one of the Nordic languages and Fluent in English. Knowledge and experience with the German language would only be a benefit.

Strong analytical skills and ability to identify opportunities with clients and propose solutions that meet the clients needs and expectations. 

Demonstrated ability to systematically build relationship with selected new customers, leading to strong growth in sales, customer profitability and share of spend, and establishment of effective relationships at all levels in the customers organization?

You are acting proactive, having excellent commercial and technical skills, persuasiveness and a relentless drive to get results. You are working very customer- and market-oriented.

You are a networker and relationship builder and your communicative skills are very good. As a team player you work well together with you colleagues and manager in an open and outspoken way.

You handle sales processes systematic and delegates tasks to colleagues with the right knowledge and insight.

It is a clear advance that you have good IT skills and experiences working with and in a CRM system.

You have strong experience with B-t-B sales and know how to collaborate in a matrix organization, and how to drive a sales B-t-B process.
