About the Job:
The market leader in aids to navigation for offshore renewables is looking for a Sales Engineer to join a successful and growing sales team. The focus of the role is to support the global sales team in finding competitive solutions to service customer’s needs in both existing and new build projects. The successful candidate will be detail orientated, diligent and have a good balance between technical skills and commercial awareness.


  • Remote within reasonable distance of our core locations in Northern Germany, Scotland or Denmark or office based in Schwerin/Copenhagen.

  • The successful candidate must have the legal right to live and work in one of the above locations without additional visas

Education & Experience:

  • Relevant degree in electrical, SCADA or mechanical engineering

  • 2-5 years relevant engineering work experience

  • Fundamental knowledge of low voltage systems, SCADA networks and mechanical interfaces

  • Excellent skills in all Microsoft business solutions package (Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, Dynamics, Outlook, Planner, Teams, etc.)

  • Experience in a customer facing role

About the role:

  • Create professional conceptual designs from customer’s specifications, National Authority requirements and international best practices

  • Review customer requirements, identify and document deviations

  • Populate bills of material, product equivalence matrices and issue quotations

  • Consult internally and externally with subject matter experts to assemble high-value solutions

  • Serve customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.

  • Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests

  • Create spares parts lists and offer attractive spares packages to customers

Essential Skills:

  • Able to perform and/or verify basic electrical calculations

  • Create light studies/simulations and handle large 3D files

  • Strong technical English (written and verbal)

  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure

  • Able to prioritise and work independently

Desirable Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • German or Danish language skills

  • Marine engineering or Aids to Navigation experience

  • Knowledge of the renewable energy industry

  • Professionally registered or working towards being professionally registered

  • Attention to detail, diligence and highly organised

  • A good team player

  • Able to follow instructions with minimal supervision

  • Flexible and quick to adapt to new situations and eager to grow
