Background
The Niko Group organization is represented in the Nordic markets by Niko-Servodan, who has a leading role in the market of sensor technology and project sales in Sweden and Denmark, which traditionally has been the focus of the organization. In 2016 we have expanded the selling portfolio in the Nordic Region with Home Automation products which continuously will be a priority and have high focus of the Sales Director Nordic.

Furthermore the Nordic sales organization has a very close business relationship with a key distributor in Norway, who is acting as a sole supplier of dimming and sensor solutions towards the Norwegian market, also a high focus area. Based in Denmark, the Sales Director Nordic will be responsible and accountable for sales results within the Nordic Region and will report to the VP Sales of Niko Group.

Main accountabilities and deliverables

  • Defining the sales strategy and driving the execution for delivering the sales objectives on short and long term together with all regional country sales managers and the supporting functions such as Product Management, Channel Marketing, Operations, Finance, HR etc.
  • Identifying sales growth opportunities and defining the strategy to maximize the opportunity results
  • Expense and resource planning as well as budget control in line with priority settings agreed upon
  • Ownership of sales budgeting and sales forecasting for the region
  • Driving the project sales in every aspect to industrial, commercial and residential markets: segmentation, prioritizing, pipeline generation, follow-up, closing, pricing, delivery etc. in all regional countries while preserving and optimizing the current transactional sales results in sensors
  • Building performing sales in Home Automation Products across Nordic countries
  • Implementing pipeline and sales KPI management across the Nordic countries
  • Building profound knowledge of the Danish market in sensor solutions and home automation (connected homes) while building relationships with key players and understanding specific needs and success factors
  • Developing good knowledge of the other regional markets, Sweden and Norway.

With regards to people management you will be supervising all sales organizations in Nordic region and you will continuously be developing a high performance culture and develop talents. In addition you will also be supervising both after sales and presales teams in the region and will be facilitating close collaboration with all supporting functions.

Your profile
We expect you to have a clear ‘Customers First’ attitude. You are entrepreneurial and have strong skills in building sales strategies and execution plans, including business cases.

You are an excellent people manager, you build highly motivated teams and drive execution via KPI management. We put great emphasis on very good communication skills - both orally and written -, advanced presentation and ‘sales pitch’ skills. The position will be reporting into a functional organization with a reporting line outside of the Nordics perimeter, whilst requiring excellent influencing and relationship building skills with peers locally.

You have a high level of energy and drive and thrive on working independently within a defined scope whilst naturally assuming responsibility for everything you get involved in. You are a decisive person who is applying the required leadership style according to circumstances.

We prefer a candidate with high emotional intelligence, especially great empathy, who is able to relate to the customer’s thinking patterns and knows how to see and address ‘customer pains’. You must be a native speaker of Danish with professional proficiency in English, which is the international language within Niko Group. We expect you to have a relevant Bachelor or Master degree. Furthermore you need 8 – 10 years of experience in a customer facing role in sales or sales management in an international context.

Professional skills required

  • Profound experience in managing sales via KPI management (Pipeline management, closing rate, winrate etc.)
  • Experience in the market of Sensor Solutions or Home Automation
  • Experience in Project Sales
  • That you are familiar with tendering and professional B2B quotation processes.
