Come help us rolling out the world’s first nationwide ERTMS system.

We are looking for new colleagues to join our project teams in the Signalling Programme, Fjernbane East and West projects. We are responsible for the new signaling technology on the fjernbane running across Denmark.

The Signalling Programme, the largest of its kind in Europe, is fully engaged in updating the existing signaling system to a new and fully automated system. We have commissioned approx. 15% of the lines and are working hard and determined to implement the remaining lines across Denmark. The final commissioning is expected in 2030.     

You will be a part of a small team of internationally experienced project managers that will help you onboard the projects and the processes in place.

The project is supported by a world-wide team of suppliers and consultants so you will feel right at home.

Your place of employment will be at our headquarters in central Copenhagen.

Schedule and delivery
The position as Rollout Lead, is focused on ensuring a timely and high-quality delivery of the new system on one of the railway lines, from project kick-off until commissioning.

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Pro-active role in identifying and solving problems
  • Responsibility for budget overview, from start to finish, during the roll out.
  • Responsibility for ensuring timely deliveries from our supplier team and Banedanmark team
  • Responsibility for internal Banedanmark deliverables reaching the suppliers on time
  • Daily coordination with your counterpart at the supplier side
  • Reporting progress to the Project Management
  • Escalating issues and unforeseen events to the Project Management
  • Become the ambassador towards other departments in Banedanmark

You will be supported by an internal technical team as well as planning, risk and contract-management. As responsible for the project we expect you to have some knowledge of these activities.

Engineer with analytical skills and structured approach
You probably hold an engineering degree or a degree in the humanistic or commercial field, and you have previous experience within project management preferably railway infrastructure. It is an advantage if you already have experience with large international projects.

On a more personal level, we are looking for a team-player with analytical skills, a structured and detailed approach as well as good communication and leadership skills. Simultaneously you can work independently and towards given tasks and deadlines.

The role includes communicating with colleagues of many different nationalities. Our working language is English, both written and spoken, and documentation is mainly in English and Danish – if you have little or no experience in Danish, you will be assisted when necessary.

You will be employed in relation to the current labour agreement and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.
