 Join us as an intern in Novo Nordisk and get an opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues from many different nationalities within various fields as well as a unique learning experience and a chance to turn theories into practice.

The Position
We work with both 1st generation technologies and well-proven technologies in our Innovation Lab where we seek to combine technologies, to support our organisation. You will work in a creative environment sharing ideas with our Innovation- and Robotic specialists. 

You will primarily work on the IT integration of various devices and technologies. You will be in close dialogue with our external collaboration partners on developing the final solution of the project. Your input and solutions will be used in the real-life implementation of the complete setup. 

You should expect to take part in different phases of a project, including the planning of project activities, management of meetings and be part of workshop execution. You will also work with the collection and analysis of data to be used in decision processes in the organisation. As an example; a cost-benefit analysis of technology choices. 

On top of that, you will be key in developing “Proof of Concept”-setups where we support the organisation (i.e. laboratories) with automating their processes. Additionally, you will work with the technology hands-on to understand the technology and how to apply it in the production setup.

All this will be done in close collaboration with the responsible project managers and suppliers. You will receive sparring and coaching.

  • Internship Period: The internship is a full-time position for 5 months. 
  • Salary: 12.000 DKK/month
  • Working Hours: 37 hours/week - we are flexible regarding work hours.
  • Start Date: 1st or 15th September 2021 we are flexible regarding internship timing
  • A Danish full-time work permit is required.
  • Working place: Kalundborg, Denmark

Qualifications
You are currently studying for a degree in Engineering or similar. We are seeking an intern with a passion for IT, robotics, lean and automation. As a person you possess a drive to work independently, are not afraid to consult colleagues/experts and can change track when findings show that it makes sense. You can communicate even complex information in easy terms in both Danish and English. Finally, you have a good sense of humour and enjoy working in an agile environment. You are confident or curious about some of the following areas:

  • IT, databases and communication protocols (i.e. MQTT, SQL, Oracle)
  • IoT and Cloud technologies (i.e. Advantech ADAM, Siemens Intelligent Gateways)
  • Programming of robotic arms (UR16e)
  • Virtual or Augmented Reality (HoloLens)
  • Sensor or vision technologies and other interfacing technologies
  • 3D printing and CAD software

You thrive on analytical tasks and have a sharp eye for details. We expect candidates to be service-minded, thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude. You work easily with IT applications such as Excel and PowerPoint and see challenges such as technical troubles or knowledge limitations as an opportunity to learn more. Excellent language skills in English and Danish is required.

About the team
You will be a part of Diabetes API in Kalundborg (Innovation Lab). We produce the active ingredient for almost half of the world’s diabetes treatment. The team consists of several colleagues who provide daily support to the production. The main tasks for the team are to support the production, problem-solving and automate & improve the processes.
