Robot ingeniør til softwareudvikling

Hos Robotize designer vi autonome robotsystemer til transport af paller på fabrikker og varehuse. Systemet er baseret på en autonom mobil robotplatform, som transporterer paller mellem stationer. Systemet omfatter andre enheder, som f.eks. oplader, trykknapper, I/O interface til eksterne enheder og en central enhed, som koordinerer aktiviteter i systemet.

Om positionen
Da vi er en del af en branche i rivende udvikling, leder vi efter en robotspecialist til at styrke vores softwaregruppe. Softwaregruppen er ansvarlig for udvikling af software til alle dele af systemet.

Selve robotsoftwaren er baseret på ROS og C++, og der er arbejdet med at forbedre og optimere lokalisering, planlægning og navigation i de krævende miljøer, som robotten arbejder i. Vi arbejder også med at håndtere mange robotter bl.a. ved at sikre en effektiv trafikafvikling og optimering af arbejdsfordeling.

Du vil blive en del af et højt kvalificeret udviklingsteam, som står for udvikling af software på alle niveauer. I teamet har vi et tæt samarbejde og du vil få rig mulighed for selv at komme til at præge produktet og dine arbejdsopgaver.

Som robotingeniør hos os får du mulighed for at arbejde med mange af de robottekniske aspekter af systemet afhængig af dine kompetencer, herunder lokalisering af robotten, planlægning og navigation og behandling af sensor input fra robottens vision og LIDAR-system. Den software, som du udvikler, kommer til at køre på mange robotter rundt omkring i hele verden. Derfor vil du også komme til at arbejde med fejlfinding og videreudvikling baseret på input fra virkelige systemer fra dag 1. Vi har en uformel arbejdsproces, men vi lægger vægt på grundlæggende aktiviteter som kode review, versionskontrol, løbende integration og test, som sikrer en høj kvalitet af det produkt vi leverer.

Om dig
Du er civilingeniør med speciale i robotteknologi. Du har praktisk erhvervserfaring med robotudvikling eller er nyuddannet med et godt resultat.

Kvalifikationer:

• Indgående kendskab til mobile robotter
• God til matematik, algoritmer, numerisk analyse
• Kendskab til og helst erfaring med ROS
• Erfaring med programmering i Moderne C++/Python
• Erfaring med Linux
• Kendskab til realtidsprogrammering er et plus
• Kendskab til netværk og netværksprogrammering er et plus
• Gode engelskkundskaber mundtligt og skriftligt

Robotics engineer for software development
Robotize designs autonomous robotic systems for transportation of pallets in factories and warehouses. This system is based on an autonomous mobile robotic platform, transporting EUR pallets between stations distributed throughout the warehouse. Further, the complete system consists of other external units, i.e. chargers, I/O interfaces, and a central fleet management system. The software for the robot is based on ROS and C++, where we work with developing and improvingthe localization, planning and navigation, and perception algorithms. As the robots are working in demanding environments, robust algorithms are of high importance.

The fleet management system controls a fleet of many robots by ensuring efficient traffic handling and, optimization and distribution of the tasks among the robots for larger warehouses.

About the position
As we are part of a business in a rapid growing industry, we are looking for a robot specialist to strengthen our software group. The software group is responsible for the development of software for all parts of the system and you will be part of a highly qualified development team responsible for the development of software on all levels. In the team we work closely together, both internally and with the other departments, and you will get ample opportunity to affect both the product and
your daily tasks depending on your competences.

As a robotics engineer at Robotize you will work with many of the robotics aspects of the system, including localization, planning and navigation, and perception and control of the robot. The robot is equipped with both a LIDAR and 3D vision sensor system which is used for the obstacle detection. The software you develop will be running on many robots around the world, so you will be working with debugging and improving the system in the real world from day 1. We have a casual work atmosphere but emphasize a few formal principles such as code review, version control, and continuous integration and test, to make sure our product is of high quality.

About you
You have a master&degree with emphasis on robotics or software engineering. You have
professional experience with robot development or are newly graduated with a high GPA.
Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of mobile robots
• Good skills within mathematics and algorithms
• Knowledge and experience with ROS
• Experience in Modern C++ and Python
• Experience with Linux
• Knowledge of real-time programming is a plus
• Knowledge of network programming is a plus
• Proficient in English, written and oral
• Proficiency in Danish is a plus
