We are hiring a Risk Manager for our East Project. You will drive Risk Management in the East project, which is a highly complex project with multiple sub projects being executed simultaneous by a multinational team of professionals. You have 5-10 years professional experience from large projects or programs within the infrastructure sector or similar and have hands-on experience with Project Risk Management in line with Prince 2 and/or PMI.

We are fully engaged replacing the entire signalling system with ERTMS (European Railway Traffic Management System) Level 2, Baseline 3 technology on the national railway and CBTC (Communication Based Traffic Control) on the S-trains.

Denmark is the first country to implement ERTMS on a national scale. The replacement is organized in the Signalling Programme in a portfolio of projects to be completed by 2030 – in close collaboration with internal departments as well as international suppliers and consultants from across Europe.

We work in a matrix organization. You will be part of the Signalling Programme PMO, with a team of planners and Risk Managers. In your day-to-day work, you will be part of the East Project team. You will apply best practise Risk Management in the project and continually tailor Risk Management to the project needs, in accordance with the overall governance on Risk Management in the Signalling Programme. Over time, you might support development and anchoring of Risk Management in other projects or departments.

Risk Management, mitigation and reporting
You will work together with the East project team in driving the Risk Management process and tailoring Risk Management further to fit the needs of the project.

Your main tasks are:

  • Anchor and drive the Risk Management process in the project based on the project needs and as outlined by SP Programme Risk Management
  • Prepare and facilitate Monthly Risk Alignment Meetings
  • Proactively identify all relevant risks to the individual Sub projects (Roll outs) in collaboration with the PMO Lead, RO Lead, planner, project team and other stakeholders (External and internal Suppliers, Neighbor projects etc.).
  • Quality check that risks are adequately documented on cause, risk, effect, control(s), evaluation etc.
  • Facilitate Risk workshops
  • Prepare risk reports.
  • Participate or lead SP projects with the aim of developing the Risk Management discipline in collaboration with the Programme Risk Manager.

Your profile
You have a bachelor or university degree within a relevant field such as engineering, economics or similar. Most importantly you have strong stakeholder management skills and feel comfortable in an environment with many changes. You have practised Risk Management in projects and have 5-10 years professional experience from infrastructure projects or similar.

No matter your educational background and work experience it is a prerequisite that you are energetic and persistent of character. You have a positive mindset and can challenge status quo. You support the projects and management teams by providing a sound basis for decision making through risk documentation, communication and reporting.

As we are a multinational programme with more than 15 nationalities, you are fluent in spoken and written English. Our working language is English and/or Danish.

Salary
You will be employed in relation to current labour agreements and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications.
