Join us as our new Agile Research Scientist for Applied Research

In order to respond quickly to changing needs of our important projects we seek two scientists for our newly started agile research team within the applied research area of Novozymes R&D. The team consists of 14 dedicated scientists and lab technicians all having the goal of bringing our projects forward to the benefit of consumers around the world.

Welcome to Consumer BioSolutions

As part of the division Consumer Biosolutions, we cover application science ranging from food science, baking and brewing to household care (detergent industry). We work in a flexible structure focusing on constantly adapting to changing project needs as well as focusing on knowledge sharing and collaboration across the entire R&D community. You will be allocated to different projects for variable periods of time. Periods may be as short as 1-3 months or up to a full year; most often within 3-9 months. Your assignments will be varied and you will work with all aspects of applied research from scoping to launch. Typical challenges in this position could comprise a) reading up on a new application area to provide an early proof of concept, b) transforming our understanding of an application area into a small-scale enzyme assay, c) being engaged in one of our mature pipeline projects testing and evaluating new enzyme diversity from an application point of view, as well as d) being involved in the launch phase providing data to promote our products to partners and consumers.

To succeed you must hold:

  • M.Sc. degree in biotechnology, engineering, food science or similar
  • Preferably, you have hands-on experience from an area of application science
  • You enjoy variation and are able to quickly grasp a new field of expertise
  • You are a natural teamplayer, you possess strong personal collaboration skills and put performance of the team above individual targets
  • You possess excellent communication skills in English
  • Project leader experience is an advantage

 

Location: This job will be located at Bagsværd and Lyngby research sites
