Join us as our new Research Scientist
Your primary focus will be creating new products that excite our customers, by developing liquid enzyme formulations or designing new product formats, using existing and new technology. To succeed you will combine insights of enzyme processing with protein stabilization and you will select the optimal solutions both for value and product quality.

You will be in direct contact with our colleagues in marketing, production, pilot plants, and research & development departments in Novozymes as well as external customers.

Welcome to Liquid Products Development and Innovation (LPDI)
We are part of Formulation Development, where we are responsible for development of enzyme products, upscaling of new products and technologies, as well as supporting and improving our existing product range. In LPDI we are a team of highly engaged, multicultural scientists, with a passion for enzyme formulation and product innovation. We cooperate with many of Novozymes’ functions locally and internationally.  
In this role you’ll make an impact by:

  • Developing and optimizing formulations with focus on quality, stability and optimal format for the final commercial products.
  • Working independently as well as taking the responsibility as project leader and as a team player, contributing to a high performing cross-functional Agile Team.
  • Supporting customers, doing production troubleshooting and scaling up to our global production plants. 

To succeed you must:  

  • Have a master’s degree or PhD in chemical/biochemical engineering or related field, such as (bio)chemistry or food science and technology. 
  • Be independent with excellent personal drive, while enjoying collaboration and communication with different stakeholders
  • Enjoy project management and taking a role as project leader
  • Experience within protein stability and formulation is an advantage
  • Have experience with planning and executing experiments and enjoy day to day collaboration with laboratory technicians. 
  • Have experience with statistics and data handling. 
  • Be innovative in finding new solutions while having the ability to drive them to implementation 

This job will be located at our HQ in Bagsværd, Denmark.
