Are you skilled in facilitating ART events, coaching SCRUM masters and teams and ensuring the ART has the right composition? And do you consider yourself to have a mindset of continuously improving the value flow to match the business strategy?

Join us and become Release Train Engineer and be part of the ART leadership team driving the agile agenda in the train by coaching SCRUM masters, facilitating ART events, e.g. Scrum of Scrums, PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, etc.

You’ll have a unique opportunity to join Ørsted’s agile transformation and be part of the ART leadership heading an important part of our vision: Creating a world that runs entirely on green energy. Your position is based in Copenhagen, but you’ll be working with colleagues across the globe, as our development centres are located in both Denmark, Poland and Malaysia, and the business units are dispersed on even more locations.

We’ve selected SAFe as the framework for scaling agile ways of working across the organisation, and over the last eighteen months, we’ve launched eight Agile Release Trains with more than 300 people, in 30+ teams.

Our agile journey is exiting, but also challenging as we as an organisation are on a steep learning curve. This means that we don’t always have the answer, but together we want to collaborate on finding the best way to the next maturity level.

Your key tasks will be to

  • work closely in the ART leadership with the product manager and solution architect to ensure a sustainable and efficient flow of top-priority deliveries
  • manage and drive the relentless optimisation of the flow of value from idea to release
  • facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning events and other ART ceremonies
  • assist in tracking the execution of features and capabilities
  • provide input on resourcing and assist in solving critical impediments regarding shared resources.

You’ll also encourage collaboration across ART and ensure alignment with product management, product owners and stakeholders.

Furthermore, you’ll work with portfolio and product management, product owners and stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment. You’ll continuously work on improving the ART as an organisation, a lean development unit and a workplace.

In addition, you’ll cooperate with the ART stakeholders in the business, and especially the IT organisation, to ensure that the ART has the right capabilities at all times.

Your competences include that you

  • have experience in SAFe and leading in an agile environment, e.g. running PI planning sessions and coordinating cross-functional work teams towards task completion
  • have experience in scaled agile and scrum working with multiple agile teams, preferably in a SAFe context
  • understand how to use agile tools such as Azure DevOps
  • have a collaborative and involving mindset.

Ideally, you’re already release train engineer (RTE) and know through own experience what it takes to succeed. Alternatively, you have been SCRUM master or agile coach for some years and want to step up as RTE. As a person, you have a strategic mindset that links backlog and PIs with business strategy.

Furthermore, you’re using exceptional communication, agile coaching and facilitation skills to bring out the best in your ART members.

Finally, you speak and write English fluently.
