At HQ in Ballerup, you will become part of the Regulatory Certifications Team in Regulatory Affairs within Corporate Quality. As part of Global R&D, we make sure that new and existing products obtain market access across our global, regional, and local markets.

Drive and manage Type Approval and Special Certifications
As our new Regulatory Certification Engineer you will provide valuable input to the regulatory strategy by determining applicable standards within the areas of Radio frequency-, EMC- and safety-testing. As well as providing input to the regulatory strategy you will also be deeply involved in the development projects, and work closely with our skilled Engineers and Project Managers, to ensure our products conform to the requirements of the applicable standards, directives and regulations by conducting relevant and meaningful testing.

More specifically you will:

  • Determine applicable standards
  • Prepare RF-, EMC-, and safety test plans
  • Manage the type approval process in development projects by:
    • Identifying and engaging external test labs
    • Preparing requests for quotations
    • Preparing schedules for testing
    • Sample- and test SW-testing
    • Gathering and reviewing documentation in relation to testing
  • Manage renewal of expiring certificates
  • Drive “Special Certifications” towards Bluetooth, Apple and Google

Doing so, you will provide valuable support and guidance to colleagues in HQ as well as across our markets and make sure that products gain the necessary approvals to ensure timely market access globally.

As the ideal candidate you have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree or similar within natural science or engineering
  • Experience working with medical devices, radio equipment and have thorough understanding of below directives, regulations and standards:
    • Radio Equipment Directive
    • EMC directive
    • MDR
    • European, US and Canadian Radio- EMC- and safety standards such as IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 62368, EN 300 328, EN 301 489, FCC part 15.247, RSS 247 etc.
  • A keen eye for details
  • The ability to work on several projects/tasks simultaneously
  • You communicate effortlessly in spoken and written English

You will be joining a rapidly growing regulatory department as a member of the small Regulatory Certifications Team currently consisting of three persons. Therefore, you will have a great opportunity to assist in setting the direction and contribute to the team’s further development and strategy to ensure we deliver into GN’s overall strategy.
