“In our Product Verification department, you’ll work in an advanced lab with the newest equipment and technologies – and learn from highly experienced colleagues who are happy to share their knowledge with you,” says Senior Manager Ola Hagberg.

Welcome to GN Audio – we know sound 
Through its Jabra brand, GN makes intelligent audio solutions that let you hear more, do more and be more than ever thought possible. And in our Product Verification department, we ensure the quality of these products. Every day, we test the reliability of brand-new headphones and headsets for consumers and enterprises and analyze products that either fail tests or come back from the market due to flaws. 

Work to determine reliability and analyze failures 15-20 hours a week
At our office in Ballerup, you will join a team consisting of 4 reliability and product verification test engineers and another student assistant like yourself. Your tasks will depend on your skills and interests, but you will divide your time between assisting in our physical failure analysis lab and with the testing of the reliability of new products in our test lab. Doing so, you will work hands-on with tasks such as:

  • CT scanning and X-raying failed products
  • Performing chemical tests and test parameterization
  • Performing reliability testing of concepting and prototype units, e.g. drop testing
  • Participating in root cause analysis tasks  

Hone your skills 
As a student assistant in our team, you will get the opportunity to work hands-on with lab work and gain vital experience working with the testing of some of the latest technologies and equipment within materials validation and plastic moulding. We will help you get to know the equipment and introduce you to the tasks.

“We are very flexible in terms of working hours. Our last student assistant would sometimes work a few hours on weekends because that worked for him. And if you need a case study for school projects, we are also happy to explore the options with you,” explains Senior Manager Ola Hagberg.

Curious and analytic with an aptitude for material science
To succeed in this position, it is important that you have great attention to detail and that you thrive working with both analysis and testing. Likewise, an interest in and aptitude for working hands-on with electronical and mechanical devises is vital. Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Are studying mechanical or chemical engineering with focus on materials science, giving you a degree of material knowledge
  • You hHave a rudimentary understanding of mechanics and electronics, and if you have worked with test equipment, this is an advantage
  • Have a basic knowledge of statistics
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills and speak and write English at a high level
