We are now offering a challenging position where you will be an active contributor in the innovation team within the Displaying Unit module development team and participate in securing the future success of Ambu to the benefit of our users.

You will be a member of the Platform Innovation team located at our headquarters in Ballerup. We have full focus on developing new products and processes that combine several technologies in new and innovative ways. This imposes high demands to your skills and broad experience.

Your Responsibility as FPGA Engineer
As a vital player in Ambu’s electronics team, 

  • You will be involved in FPGA design, development and verification of our next generation product, closely collaborating with other internal and external experienced FPGA engineers
  • You will troubleshoot the FPGA design both in simulations and on hardware prototypes in the lab
  • You will have the opportunity to define the FPGA architecture for the coming projects and contribute to the optimum solutions
  • You will support electronics hardware engineers to select the right components from FPGA point of view and optimize the PCB layout with the optimum FPGA pin assignments
  • You will also keep close contact with our embedded software team, to ensure correct communications between FPGA and other components from system point of view

Your Experience and skills
You recognize yourself in the below

  • Educational background (Bachelors degree or higher) within electronics engineering
  • At least 2 years’ experience with FPGA design (or a FPGA based MSc thesis project)
  • Solid understanding and skills of high-speed FPGA design 
  • Knowledge of Xilinx or Lattice FPGA architecture and resources
  • Knowledge of image sensor technologies and video protocols
  • Familiar with low- speed control interfaces, such as I2C, SPI
  • Capability with good communication skills, to lead FPGA engineers from different groups to finish one task

You may previously have worked with the following technology if not this is some of the tech that you will use as FPGA Engineer at Ambu. It would be great to know if you have previous experience with the following or if you have a keen interest to learn. Knowledge of Serdes/Transceiver implementation and DDR RAM Play-around. Previous knowledge of any image interfaces, such as MIPI, ‘Native Video Interface’, ‘7:1 LVDS Video Interface and any display interfaces, such as SDI, eDP, HDMI.

As a person you are positive, structured, detail oriented and you combine a proactive mind-set with the ability to plan, execute and meet deadlines. You use your collaborative skills to develop highly technical solutions.

Since we are a global company, you will be involved in cross-cultural collaboration. You must be fluent in English, and you can expect some travelling (approximately 10 days per year).
