Develop the most innovative Light Industrial Vacuum cleaners in the world with the best cleaning performance  
 
We are very proud of the number of sold vacuum cleaners in our Commercial (schools, institutions etc.) & Light Industrial (craftsmen, building site, construction etc.) segments in 2016. Our ambition in the Commercial & Industrial Light VAC R&D team is to drive the growth much further through technological innovative solutions. Right now we are hiring a R&D Engineer to take part in this journey.  
 
Develop the most innovative and best performing light industrial vacuum cleaners in the world  
The Light Industrial VAC team counts 4 people and is accountable for own product line and NPD portfolio. We are part of The Commercial & Industrial Light VAC R&D team that counts app. 30 people based in Hadsund, Hungary, Germany and China. We are known for having the highest ranking vacuum cleaners in the market on e.g. performance, durability and user friendliness and we are depending on keeping it that way staying ahead of our competitors. We are proud about our products, we are ambitious and willing to do what it takes to be market leader and having fun while doing it.  
 
As R&D Engineer you will be responsible for making high quality designs for serial production, keep up to date with relevant new technologies and focus on modularization during the design.

Your specific assignments counts:   

  • New product development: Design new products with focus on user friendliness, high quality and optimized for serial production. Prepare complex calculations, specifications and other technical documentation so prototype designs can be manufactured and assembled  
  • Technology projects: Develop tomorrow’s vacuum cleaner technologies with e.g. lower sound level or energy consumption. Plan, design and conduct complex research projects using existing or new scientific methods and theories to solve problems and improve or generate new products, components, equipment, systems and processes  
  • Maintenance: Cost down, production optimization, quality issues, customer requested updates   

Experienced R&D Engineer  
You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering or other relevant technical field. It is key that you have some year’s similar experience as R&D Engineer from a large international company developing, producing and selling technical or electrical products. You are a specialist in mechanical design and design of molded plastic parts. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of electrical systems and motors as well as air flow and sound / noise reduction technology as well as experience using FEM and Moldflow. However it is key that you are experienced with team work and especially project management. It is necessary that you speak and write English at a high level since this is our corporate language. You are well familiar with MS Office and you are especially proficient in Excel.
