Do you want to develop innovative product that saves lives and improves patient care? Do you have a degree in electronics engineering or computer science with +5 years of experience with embedded devices? Then you may be our new Embedded software engineer.

You will be part of an effective innovation culture with a tradition for fast completion of projects, which means that there is a visible link between your results and Ambu’s growth. You will be a member of the embedded software team located at our headquarters in Ballerup. The embedded team is currently 6 developers and growing. We focus on creating a modular platform with interfaces to the application SW team and the hardware team. 

The embedded software team works in a very collaborative and agile environment, where open and honest discussion is an integral part of the way we solve complex problems. For new team members, we value the willingness to learn new skills and to grow, rather than already having detailed knowledge of everything.

Embedded software engineering 
As an Embedded Software Engineer you will be  part of the newly established Embedded Software Team in Displaying Units and Systems Engineering department within Global Innovation. You will take part in delivering our software projects within scope, time and quality. You will deliver high quality code in C and C++ and collaborate with your team members about shaping the best possible solutions.
 
As a member of the Embedded SW team your work will involve the following:

  • Develop functionality in firmware, software and drivers
  • Work with your embedded SW team and the application SW team on interfaces and functionality in the display unit
  • Support the documentation effort to comply with software medical device standards

Experienced medical device engineer
You have a University background within electronics or computer science and broad experience as a software developer. As a person you are eager to learn new skills as well as share your knowledge.You are proficient in English, both spoken and written.

Experience or knowledge of the following is highly relevant:

  • Embedded linux (preferably Yocto)
  • Implementing linux drivers
  • C, C++
  • CI/CD (Git + GitLab) and Python is an advantage
