Headquartered in Hilleroed, Denmark, FOSS is an international family-owned company providing analytical equipment that helps to improve production processes and product quality in food, agricultural and other industries. 

We are looking for an experienced Test Solutions Supporter technician to join our R&D test team, at our fast growing Innovation Center in Denmark. If that sounds like a challenge for you, then read on.

The job 
The R&D test team is a central part of the R&D Services organisation with a vison to develop, maintain and support the organization with high quality state of the art production test equipment. You will be working in an interesting and interdisciplinary department with 14 specialists within the fields of test solutions, electronics, software, mechanics, optics, laser, X-ray and chemistry. 

In this position, you will be part of our R&D test team that in close co-operation with our product programs analyze, define, design, implement and test the next generations of components and instruments.  

Your role will be supporting the R&D test team during implementation, test and integration of the test equipment in our production and be responsible for support of our test equipment base.  

Primary task 
As Test Solutions Supporter, your primary focus will be supporting our test equipment in R&D, in production and at our sub-suppliers. You will be our one point of contact from our production facilities, and drive the support, maintenance and improvement initiatives in a global organization. 

Secondary, you will be a supportive resource in our R&D product test solutions, and help our engineering team with implementation of the next generation of test solutions. 

Furthermore, you will be involved in documentation of own work and prepare descriptions of user manuals in English for production in Hillerød and China. 

Qualifications 
You hold a relevant technical background, for example technician or similar with minimum 3 year’s experience within production support. This job require relevant work experience from companies within production test software and hardware. Experience with NI TestStand and NI LabVIEW is a huge advance for this position. 

You ideally have good experience with: 

  • Production test systems support and maintenance in general 
  • Production test hardware and software 
  • Electrical work and troubleshooting 
  • PC installation and troubleshooting 
  • Functional (and structural PCBA) test techniques for PCBAs, modules and instruments 
  • General test techniques (LV FPGA, Vision, Boundry Scan, Flying Probe and more) 
  • Office 365 work and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Teams, Planner) 
  •  Since FOSS is a global organization, and you will be writing documentation and descriptions in English, it is important that you have excellent English skills both verbally and in writing.

You work systematically and in a structured way and you thrive with solving technical and practical problems. You are proactive and able to seek out the necessary information for your projects as well as follow through the projects.
